The Parish Council has an overall responsibility for the well-being of the local community. Its work falls into three main categories:
- representing the local community
- delivering services to meet local needs
- striving to improve the quality of life in the parish
The Council is directly involved in the provision and/or monitoring of the following local services:
- allotments
- car parks
- community transport scheme
- footpaths
- bridleways
- bus shelters
- crime reduction measures
- leisure facilities
- litter bins
- local youth projects
- open spaces
- planning
- litter picking
- street lighting
- traffic calming measures
- recreational facilities (Playing Field)
- children’s play areas
- the Allmond Centre
The Parih Council works closely with the two other Local Authorities – Horsham District Council and West Sussex County Council.
Horsham District Council is responsible for the following services:
- Waste collection
- Car park management
- Parking enforcement
- Housing and homelessness prevention
- Planning applications
- Council Tax collection (in partnership with LGSS)
- Parks and countryside
- Licensing
- Environmental health
- Building control

- Schools

The full Parish Council meets on the second Monday of every month in the Allmond Centre, commencing at approximately 7:45pm, following the meeting of the Planning Committee which commences at 7:30pm.
