Former Co-Op, The Street

Internal and external alterations to create a garden flat from the rear of the consented retail unit under DC/20/0018.  Extern alalterations to refurbish the existing timber sash windows on the east and north elevations to replace existing single glazing with 12mm slimline double glazed units.  Replace the consented former windows under DC/20/0018 to the east and west elevations with conservation style rooflight in the internal clay tiled roof valley on the west elevation.

Cowfold Parish Council objects to this planning application and the contiguous DC/23/1282 on the grounds of lack of vehicular parking for the converted cottage/flats. This point was iterated by the Parish Council during the original planning application process. The Cowfold Neighbourhood Plan, which has passed inspection, designates on p. 43 (policy 16 taken from the 2011 Census data), that for residential parking in the village there should be suitable and sufficient parking for 2.9cars per household.
