HDC Health Walk: Park and Pancakes from Hop Oast

Hop Oast Park and Ride,

Meet at the Hop Oast Park and Ride, Horsham Worthing Road, RH13 0AR. A 2 mile walk, taking one hour. Bus 23 and 98 from Horsham takes you to the Park and Ride. We walk through the new golf course and take a gentle stroll down through one of several routes in Denne Park/Chesworth into Horsham, where we can celebrate Shrove Tuesday with a coffee and a pancake. Alternatively, you can park in the Park and Ride, walk into Horsham, and get the bus back. Don't forget your bus pass. Sorry No dogs. Leaders: Jill (07780 701184) or Jean (07734 323321).

HDC Health Walks: Henfield Byways

Meet at Henfield Library, High Street, Henfield, BN5 9HN. A lovely gentle 2/3 mile walk, taking one hour, around the twittens, ginnells and snickets of Henfield. Walk can be extended if anyone wishes to walk further. No dogs. Leader: Anne (01273 493671).

A 2½ mile flat circular walk along bridleways, country lanes and the Downs Link.. Meet in the Country Park car park (off Cripplegate Lane) RH13 7UN TQ 161258. Car Park charge 50p. Not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies and prams, can be muddy. Dogs allowed on a lead. 1¼ hours. Walkers can choose to walk for 30 or 75 minutes. HDC Health Walk: Copsale, ‘Bacon Butty Walk’

A 4 mile figure of eight beautiful walk along the Downs Link, east & west of Copsale, across fields and along country lanes, mostly flat, maybe muddy with the occasional stile. Dogs on a lead only. 1½ hours. Walkers are welcome to join leaders at the end at Copsale Village Hall for bacon butties £2.50 & tea/ coffee £1, raising funds for the village hall. Park in the Downs Link car park (approx.TQ171249), opposite the Bridge Inn / Copsale Village Hall, Bar Lane, (RH13 6QT) Leaders: Jill (07780 701184) or Jean (07734 323321).

Park in the car park of the Country Park, (off Cripplegate Lane, RH13 7UN, TQ161259). Car Park charge 50p A mainly flat, 5½ mile circular walk along quiet footpaths, tracks and lanes, taking 2½ hours, 2 stiles. Good views to the South Downs. We are likely to encounter cattle. No dogs.
