Subject: This is a very late reply to Kirsty Towes, Lisa hillier and Katherine Mitchell about Youth Activities in the village

Message: Firstly I would like to apologise that it has taken so long for someone to respond to this. No real excuse other than the wonders of modern technology passing older people by sometimes. On the Parish Council we talk quite often about the lack of facilities for younger people in the village. We realise that something must be done. We have had a couple of attempts to set up a youth club or similar in the Village Hall but have come up against problems of one sort or another and so have not managed it. If you do have the names of people who will help please send them to us or contact Jan who is the Parish Clerk on 864806 or through this website and we can have another go at it. In the meantime the blue shelter by the smaller children's playground is for you. It is meant to be a place to hang out in out of the rain or just as a meeting place. Within reason, how you use it is up to you. Please let us have those names as soon as possible and we will have another go at organising a youth club or other activities. Mig Cutbush Parish Council

Subject: Cowfold Youth Group

Message: The youths of Cowfold and myself all feel very strongly about having activities or a youth group in Cowfold. Quite a few of us attended the meeting about the sports pavillion on Jan 10th and took account of what was being said and listened to what was going to happen in the future of the building. We feel that it would be a good idea to have some kind of youth ativities in the village seeing as at the present time there is nothing for us to do so we are stuck walking around the streets and sitting around in the park and on the playing field. We all attended the purple bus youth group and all found it to be a very good experience. We all enjoyed it and found it very useful. We could all voice our opinions and have interesting group discussions without walking around the streets at night! I would be especially useful during the winter months when the weather is horrible and it is cold out. We have asked around for people to help run a youth group and have allready accquired 3 people. We only need a few more but im sure we could easily find some more as most parents are behind us as they want to get us off the streets during the dark hours. We would greatly appreiciate it if you could take our veiws into account and possibly help us. Thank you Yours sincerely Kirsty Towes, Lisa Hillier and Katherine Mitchell and the rest of the cowfold youths
