At a recent Council Meeting, it was highlighted that many residents were still confused about what they should and should not place in their recycling bin. Placing incorrect items in the bin causes problems in the sorting and separation of waste at the County’s Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) at Ford and prevents correct items being recycled.
It is important that any items placed in the bin must be:
- CLEAN – free from food and drink leftovers
- DRY – keep your recycling lid shut and
- LOOSE – no plastic bags!
